The Adventures of Dick Whittington Cast


Big Al Mascarpone (King Rat) King Rat; traditionally costumed in blacks and greens.


Whiffy & Mouldy (His Rat Henchmen)  “Rat” make-up and long tails initially; other silly outfits as the Panto progresses!(M or F)


Fairy Wandsworth (A Streetwise Sprite)Typical Pantomime Fairy; or costumed anachronistically as a “Chav”; short hooped skirt, leggings, chunky earrings and Burberry cap.


Tomasso (An Amazing Magical Cat) Dick’s Magical and Mysterious Cat; a real “Puss-in-Boots” Character. (M or F)


Dick Whittington (Our Humble Hero)  The Principal Boy; all rags and patches.


Idle Jack (Fitzwarren’s Chief Apprentice) An array of silly costumes; initially a mixture of 14th century with a baseball cap and boots?


Dame Sponge (Fitzwarren’s Cook) The Dame; initially, 14th century, followed by an increasingly ludicrous range of outfits!


Alice (Fitzwarren’s Daughter) The Principal Girl; simply costumed.

 
Sir Folderol Fitzwarren (An Alderman and Wealthy Merchant)

Richly costumed, chain of office and an alderman’s robe.


Jian Chi (A Mysterious Femme-Fatale) Tightly-fitting “Chinese” dress, split up both sides. Slight “rat” make-up and short tail; could look like someone out of a 1930’s “film noir”.


Captain Yan Ying (Master of “The Orient Express”) Chinese Mariner; simply dressed in “Chinese” top and trousers; long moustache and pigtail. (M or F)


The Emperor of China (A Kindly Old Soul) Elderly, dignified and sumptuously costumed.


Princess Tao Shu (His Daughter) Simply costumed.


Chorus (Children) Rats, Urchins &Imperial Guards.


Chorus (Adult) 14th Century Londoners, Apprentices, Chinese Sailors & Chinese Courtiers.
