Sleeping Beauty & The Beast
or
The Curse of Castle Cobweb

Arachnida, evil Queen of the Web, has been banished to the foul Infernal Deep for a hundred years. On her eventual release she learns from her two ghoulish sons that all the Fairies have been invited to the christening of Princess Aurora... except her! Vowing Vengeance for this slight, all three set off for Albion and the Court of King Dumpling and Queen Semolina. Sixteen years later 'tis time for the Poisoned Spindle! Thankfully, assistance is it hand from Fairy Flashlight, an apprentice Fairy Godmother, and, for Arachnida at least, a somewhat embarrassing source! The text is based upon the script of a Victorian Pantomime, staged at Edinburgh's Theatre Royal in 1873.
