 Humpty Dumpty

Humpty Dumpty Cast

Humpty Dumpty (Merlin’s Apprentice) Can be played by either a young Male or Female Actor. Naïve and absolutely loveable. The Pantomime “Daft Laddie”.

Dame Dolly Dumpty (Humpty’s Widowed Mother) Typical Pantomime “Dame”; man-mad and takes no prisoners.

Merlin (The Legendary Magician) Robed in white and gold; long white hair and beard; carries a wooden staff. He has a powerful voice, despite his ancient appearance. Kindly, with a twinkle in his eye.

Morgana Le Fey (An Evil Sorceress) “The Baddie”. Dressed either in Greens or Purples, in the Roman Style if possible. Her make-up should be pale and ethereal.

Mordred of the Midden (Morgana’s Son) He’s described by Dolly as “a Roman officer”, so can be initially dressed as one, with a few silly touches added.

Malicious Sennapod & Nefarious Cascara (Mordred’s Henchman) The “Double Act”. They’re sleazy, slimy, unwashed and unkempt, therefore should prove to be a great hit with the Children in the audience!

Blunderbuss(The Roman Governor) Kindly and friendly; “Clipped” English accent, with the odd word or two of Scots thrown in - or any other regional accent.

Jinty - Aka Guinevere (Blunderbuss’ Daughter) The Principal Girl. She’s not a twee and simpering heroine, but brave and honest.

Artie - Aka Arthur The Principal Boy,with a stylised
“Slave” costume that can show the legs off to their advantage!
A hero to the manner born, but a bit dim.

Chorus Highland Villagers; Roman Centurions; Weird and Wondrous Forest Creatures & C.
