Aesop (A Storyteller) Goes from being an old man to a young man, and back again, in the course of the Play; bright, chatty and cheerful.
“Hades (King of the Underworld) Not quite “The Demon King” of Pantomime, but along the same lines!
Zeus (King of the Gods) Ageless; possibly bearded; dignified, but with a nice line in withering put-downs.
Calliope (Muse of Epic Poetry) Ageless and very pretty; long and flowing Classical Greek dress.
Melpomene (Muse of Tragedy) As above.
Thalia (Muse of Comedy) As above.
Pelias (Pheres’ Evil Half-Brother) Pelias should be played slightly older than Pheres and possibly bearded; they should also be similarly or identically costumed
Pheres (King of Ambrosia) See above.
