The Amazing
Adventures of Sherbert Dipp
or
'Twas the Fright Before Christmas
London; December in the
late 1890's. Whilst honeymooning in London, the newly wed Princess
Cinderella disappears! The only clues appear to be a spinning-wheel, a strange
and shadowy figure... and a giant rat! Scotland Yard, headed by the inimitable
Inspector McMuddle are baffled. Only one man can solve the mystery - Sherbert
Dipp, Ace Detective and Master of disguise! An affectionate spoof on Sherlock
Holmes and Traditional Panto, the play takes audiences from the old cobbled
streets of Victorian London to the mist shrouded cliffs of the South Coast in an
evening of "outrageous puns" (Press).
The play can also be produced as a Victorian Melodrama or
Comedy Thriller.
