China , the Famed Middle Kingdom. Legend tells of a vain, young Emperor whose courage was second to none, but had absolutely no dress sense whatsoever! Wanting a brand new fancy outfit for his forthcoming birthday celebrations, he sends out an Imperial Proclamation to all the tailors in the land. “One hundred golden coins for the finest design!”… However, a devious Warlord and a couple of conmen have plans of their own! Can the Emperor’s mother, his younger brother, the Warlord’s daughter and even the Palace servants save him from himself? And just who is the mysterious “Storyteller”…? Based upon Hans Christian Andersen’s famous tale, this is a new and fun-filled Pantomime, full of Daft Gags, Messy Slapstick, Romantic Duets, Silly Villainy and an Outrageous Dame!
